Living in a barn requires a sense of adventure. The buildings are often significant landmarks that require sensitive conversion to provide surprisingly practical and comfortable homes.
These farm building are said to punctuate the countryside and the simple architecture offers an insight into local history and agriculture that distinguishes one region from another. Each one of these buildings provides an interesting challenge for the designer to balance creating a home without diluting its agricultural origins.
